About us

Ramat Community Empowerment Program (RACEP) is a community-based organization in Samburu County, Kenya, committed to transforming the lives of pastoralist communities. Our mission is to tackle the social, economic, and cultural challenges faced by girls, women, and people with disabilities. We focus on addressing issues such as limited education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, while promoting social inclusion. Girls are vulnerable to FGM, early marriages, and school dropout, while women face economic marginalization and lack of leadership roles. People with disabilities experience discrimination and exclusion, and we strive to empower them through education, vocational training, and disability support.
