⚽ Every Child Deserves a Chance to Dream

Today my heart is filled with gratitude as I look at these amazing boys from Simale Primary School in Simale Village, Samburu County. Through the Ramat Community Empowerment Program (RACEP), we were blessed to support them with football uniforms for their school team. For many people, a football jersey may seem like just clothing, but for these children it is a symbol of hope, confidence, teamwork, and belonging. In a remote community where opportunities are limited, sports bring children together, teach discipline, build friendships, and encourage them to stay in school. Every child deserves the chance to play, to learn, and to believe that their future can be brighter than their circumstances. This is only the beginning. We dream of a day when every child in Simale has access to quality education, sports, and opportunities to develop their God-given talents.
Thank you to everyone who believes that investing in children is investing in the future. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” — Psalm 28:7 Together, we are planting seeds of hope that will grow for generations. With gratitude, Justine Leisiano Founder Ramat Community Empowerment Program (RACEP)

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, yet many girls in Samburu are denied the chance to attend school due to early marriages, female genital mutilation (FGM), and household responsibilities. Without education, their potential is untapped, and their futures are limited. We believe that every girl deserves an education, which is why we provide access to literacy programs, vocational training, and scholarships for Samburu women and girls. By educating and training them, we empower them to make informed decisions, secure better jobs, and contribute to their communities.

HUMAN RIGHTS

Women, girls, and people with disabilities in Samburu are often denied basic human rights, facing discrimination, gender-based violence, and social exclusion. These violations rob them of dignity and the opportunity to thrive. By advocating for human rights, we work to protect the most vulnerable, ensuring that every individual has access to education, healthcare, and equal opportunities. Our programs aim to raise awareness, combat gender violence, and promote the rights of people with disabilities, fostering a culture of respect and inclusion in Samburu.

ARTS AND CULTURE

The rich arts and cultural traditions of the Samburu people are at risk of being forgotten due to modernization and the lack of resources. Yet, these traditions are integral to the community's identity and cohesion. Promoting arts and culture among women and youth offers them a platform to express themselves, preserve their heritage, and foster unity. Through cultural events, craft training, and art programs, we can help Samburu women generate income and strengthen their connection to their roots while building pride in their identity.
